The New Haven Symphony Orchestra is pleased to host a number of special events throughout the year. In recent years, in addition to our glamorous annual Gala, we have held intimate chamber music concerts, art auctions, and private donor events. These activities frequently introduce new people to the Symphony family, as well as support the Symphony financially. We hope you will discover something that piques your interest and that you will join us at one of this year's special events.
Music on the Green heats up when the NHSO performs Dueling Divas. Opera divas Jamilyn Manning-White and Toby Newman launch fireworks of vocal virtuosity, singing familiar tunes from The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Carmen. Grab the family and a picnic basket to join us Downtown for an unforgettable summer evening.
The concert opens at 6:00pm with music from the Mariachi Academy of Connecticut, directed by Evangeline Mendoza Bourgeois.
Benjamin Birtten's Saint Nicholas is a glorious cantata celbrating the life and legends of St. Nicholas, this historic inspiration for Santa Claus. The combined choirs of Trinity Episcopal Church on the Green join the NHSO, conducted by William Boughton.
For the Trinity performance, join us for dinner at the Graduate Club and the annual New Haven tree lighting before the concert. More
