Partnerships with local community service organizations remain an integral part of the NHSO’s community engagement effort. On July 24th, 2010, the top three prize winners of the 3rd Annual Yale/New Haven Young Artists Solo Competition - Raymundo Morales, clarinet (Grand Prize); Kevin Lopez, clarinet (Second Prize); and Emily Wang, violin (Third Prize) - played in a New Haven Symphony Orchestra rehearsal.
 

Creating Musical Readers

Spend a Saturday afternoon at  the Connecticut Children’s Museum with your favorite  preschooler or kindergartner—ages 2--6 You’ll enjoy storytelling accompanied by music performed by an engaging NHSO musician.
