Final auditions will be held immediately after the preliminary auditions and do not use a screen. The NHSO does not provide any travel expense reimbursement for any audition round. The NHSO reserves the right not to invite an applicant to the audition they have applied for.

Contract Information
In addition to its Symphony Series concerts, the NHSO produces a Pops series, a Young People's Series, outdoor concerts in the summer, and other special concerts. Rehearsals are usually held on Sunday and weekday evenings, averaging three rehearsals per Symphony Series. Concerts are usually on Thursday nights with some repeat performances on Sunday afternoon. The pay during the 2010-2011season for assistant principal players was $118.80 per service. In addition there is a travel pay allowance for players living more than 15 miles from New Haven (maximum of $25 per day). The collective bargaining agreement is currently under negotiation.
