From Hartford: 


Take I-91 South to exit 3 (Trumbull Street). At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Orange Street. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Grove Street. The Grove Street Parking Garage is on your right (65 Grove Street). We suggest that you park there for NHSO concerts. Woolsey Hall is three blocks further along on Grove Street on the left side of the intersection of Grove and College Streets.

From Fairfield County and New York State via I-95:


Take I-95 North to I-91 North (signs for Hartford); continue to exit  3 (Trumbull Street). At the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Orange Street. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Grove Street. The Grove Street Parking Garage is on your right (65 Grove Street). We suggest that you park there for NHSO concerts. From New London:

From Derby:
Follow Route 34 (Derby Avenue) into New Haven. A block and a half past  Ella Grasso Boulevard, take the right fork; Derby Ave becomes George Street. Follow George Street to Church Street (Macy's Department was formerly on this corner). Turn left onto Church Street. Continue to Wall Street (one block past the New Haven Green) and turn right. At the stop sign take a left onto Orange Street. At the first light take a left onto Grove Street. The Grove Street Parking Garage is on your right (between Orange Street and Whitney Avenue). We suggest that you park there for NHSO concerts. Woolsey Hall is three blocks further along on Grove Street on the left side of the intersection of Grove and College Streets.

Parking Information for Woolsey Hall



Street parking in the Woolsey Hall area is available on Grove, College, and Wall Streets, and is free after 9:00 pm.

Grove Street Garage (65 Grove St.)


For Woolsey Hall concerts, patrons are encouraged to park at the Grove Street Parking Garage. A complimentary shuttle is available for a short shuttle bus ride to Woolsey Hall. The bus will make continuous loops throughout the night. Woolsey Hall is three long blocks up Grove Street on the left side of the intersection of Grove and College Streets.

Subscribers may park at the Grove Street Garage for free on concert nights with the presentation of their Bravo Card. Hourly rates will apply to all others.

** Please Note: The Grove Street Parking Garage closes at 11:00pm on performance nights. If you are planning to stay in New Haven after the concert, we recommend moving your vehicle.

Take exit 60 (CT 10). Turn left onto Dixwell Avenue. If coming from CT-15 North, will pass Hamden Plaza on left on Dixwell. Proceed 1.2 miles. School is on the right.

From I-91 – (North or South):
Take Exit 10 (CT 40 toward Hamden/Cheshire). Take first exit on right. Turn right onto Devine St. Turn right onto State St. Turn right onto Dixwell Avenue. Proceed 1.7 miles. School is on the left.

Parking at Hamden Middle School:

There is plenty of free parking at the school.

From New Haven & Shoreline Areas (to Route 34 West):

On I-95, take Exit 47: "Downtown New Haven." The ramp becomes Frontage Rd. (Rt. 34). Follow and turn right at Ella Grasso Blvd. and left at Derby Ave (Rt. 34). Continue 8 miles to the center of Derby. Cross the Rt. 8 overpass. At the fourth light after the overpass, turn left onto Bridge St. Cross the bridge and turn right onto Howe Ave (Rt. 110). At the next light, turn left onto White Street. Follow the signs for Rt. 108. Turn right onto Perry Ave. At a stop sign, Perry Ave. curves left, becomes Wooster St and then Shelton Ave (still Rt. 108). Follow Rt. 108 approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right on Constitution Boulevard.  The Intermediate School is 0.3 miles on the right. 

From Hartford/Meriden area  via Route 15 South (Wilbur Cross Parkway):

From Rt. 15, take Exit 58: “Route 34 West / Derby”. Turn right and follow Rt. 34 West towards Derby (about 3 miles). Continue under the Rt. 8 overpass. At the fourth light after the overpass, turn left onto Bridge Street. Cross  the bridge and get in the right-hand lane. Turn right onto Howe Avenue (Rt. 110). Turn left onto White Street, follow signs for Rt. 108. Turn right on Perry Ave. (Rt. 108). Perry Ave. curves left and becomes Wooster Street then Shelton Avenue (still Rt. 108). Follow Rt. 108 approximately 1.5 miles to take a right on Constitution Blvd; the Intermediate School is 0.3 miles on the right

From Danbury (Route 34 East):
On Route 34 East proceed almost to the center of Derby, but instead of going up the hill to the center of town take the first right on Bridge Street and cross the river. Proceed over the bridge and get in the right-hand lane. At the first light turn right onto Howe Avenue (Route 110). At next light turn left onto White Street, follow signs for Route 108 (Webster Bank is on the corner). Pass the bank and turn right on Perry Ave. (Route 108). At a stop sign, Perry Avenue curves left and becomes Wooster Street and then Shelton Avenue (still Route 108). Follow Route 108 approximately 1.5 miles past Meadow Street to Constitution Boulevard; turn right on Constitution Boulevard; the Intermediate School is 0.3 miles on the right.

From Waterbury (Route 8 South):
Follow Route 8 South to exit 14, (Howe Ave/ Route 110). At the end of the ramp turn right onto Route 110 North (Howe Ave). At the first light follow the signs to Route 108 turning left onto Center Street and then right onto Coram Road. At the end of Coram Road (stop sign), turn left onto Wooster Street (Route 108). Route 108 eventually becomes Shelton Avenue. Follow Route 108 approximately 1.5 miles past Meadow Street to Constitution Boulevard; turn right on Constitution Boulevard; the Intermediate School is 0.3 miles on the right.

From New York and Fairfield County (to Route 8 North):
Take either the Merritt Parkway North (15N) to exit 52 (Route 8 North)  or I-95 North to exit 27A to Routes 25 & 8 North (watch for Routes 25 & 8 to split after several exits and stay in the right 2 lanes towards Shelton on Route 8).

On Route 8 North, take exit 13 (Constitution Blvd). At the end of the ramp turn left onto Constitution Boulevard. At the first light, turn right onto Bridgeport Ave. (which becomes Center Street). Continue to the first traffic light and turn left onto Coram Road (to Route 108). At the end of Coram Road (stop sign), turn left onto Wooster Street (Route 108). Route 108 eventually becomes Shelton Avenue. Follow Route 108 approximately 1.5 miles past Meadow Street to Constitution Boulevard; turn right on Constitution Boulevard; the Intermediate School is 0.3 miles on the right.

1. Take I-91N toward Hartford. 2. Take exit for 84 West. 3. Proceed on 84 West. 4. Take Exit 48, Asylum Street. 5. At the light (end of exit), take a right onto Asylum. 6. At the fork, bear left onto Farmington Ave. for front of Cathedral; bear right onto Asylum Avenue for parking behind the Cathedral. Proceed about .25 mile.

From the North:
Take I-91S toward Hartford. Take exit for 84 West, follow steps 4-6 above.

From the West:
Take 84 East to Hartford. Take Exit 48, Asylum Street. At the light, take a left onto Asylum, then follow step 6.

From I-95, I-93 or Route 3 (New Hampshire):
Travel South to I-495. Take I-495 South to I-290 West.

From I-290:
Take I-290 to Exit 16 (MLK Jr. Blvd.). From 290E, turn left onto MLK Jr. Blvd.

From 290W, turn right.
To Main Street Entrance: At Main Street, turn left. Mechanics Hall is on the left at 321 Main Street. Parking on Main Street, Exchange Street, Waldo Street, Commercial Street, Central Street.

To Waldo Street Entrance: At Major Taylor Blvd, turn left. At Foster Street, turn right. Make the 2nd right onto Waldo Street. Mechanics Hall is on the left.

From I-95 going South

Get off exit 63. There is a stop-light at the end of the exit, that is RT 81. Across RT 81 is a white fence and the entrance to Morgan High School. There is parking at the school if you go straight or if you turn right at the commuter parking lot, or if you turn left at the library.

From I-95 going North

Get off exit 63. At the first stop-light turn left. At the second stop-light turn left again onto RT 81. At the third stop-light you could make a left to park in the commuter parking lot. At the fourth stop-light, make a right into the entrance to the High School parking lot or continue to the fifth stop-light and make a left to park at the library.

From Bridgeport/New Hampshire and points north: Take I-95 southbound to Exit 16 Norwalk/East Avenue. At end of exit ramp take a right on to East Avenue. Follow East Avenue to first light and turn right on to Eversley Avenue. Follow Eversley Avenue to fourth driveway on the left, marked with sign for City Hall. Long-term parking is on your right as you enter the driveway. YOU MAY park in Visitor parking spaces at the front of the building.

Merritt Parkway/Route 15
From NYC/Stamford and points south: Take Merritt Parkway northbound to Exit 39A, follow Route 7 south, bearing to your left on to I-95 North. Follow I-95 northbound to Exit 16 Norwalk/East Avenue. At end of exit ramp take a left on to East Avenue. Follow East Avenue to second light and turn right onto Eversley Avenue. Follow Eversley Avenue to fourth driveway on the left, marked with sign for City Hall. Long-term parking is on your right as you enter the driveway. From Bridgeport/New Haven and points north: Take Merritt Parkway southbound to Exit 40A. Turn right at end of ramp and follow Main Avenue south about 1 mile, following signs for I-95. Bear right at New Canaan Avenue (Dunkin Donuts is on your right), take a left at the second light on to U.S. Route 7 South. Follow signs and bear to your left on to I-95 North. Follow I-95 northbound to Exit 16 Norwalk/East Avenue. At end of exit ramp take a left on to East Avenue. Follow East Avenue to second light and turn right on to Eversley Avenue. Follow Eversley Avenue to fourth driveway on the left, marked with sign for City Hall. Long-term parking is on your right as you enter the driveway. YOU MAY park in Visitor parking spaces at the front of the building.

U.S. Route 7
From Danbury/Waterbury and points north: Follow Route 7 southbound to Norwalk. Follow I-95 signs and turn right at Grist Mill Road (Department of Motor Vehicles is on your left). Follow Grist Mill on to Route 7 south, bearing to your left on to I-95 North. Follow I-95 northbound to Exit 16 Norwalk/East Avenue. At end of exit ramp take a left on to East Avenue. Follow East Avenue to second light and turn right on to Eversley Avenue. Follow Eversley Avenue to fourth driveway on the left, marked with sign for City Hall. From New Haven via Connecticut Turnpike (I-95):
Take exit 22. Turn right onto North Benson Road (Route 135). Turn left at Barlow Road and proceed to the gate marked by twin stone columns on your right. Bear left at the fork to the Quick Center parking lots.

From New Haven via Merritt Parkway (Route 15): Take exit 44 and make a quick left off the ramp, then another quick left onto Black Rock Turnpike (Route 58), proceed 2 miles to Stillson Road (Route 135) and turn right. Bear left onto North Benson Road. The University entrance will be on your right. Bear left at the fork to the Quick Center parking lots.

From New York via Merritt Parkway (Route 15):
Take exit 44. Turn left off the ramp, and turn right onto Black Rock Turnpike (Route 58) at the light. Follow directions above.

From I-95 heading north:
Exit 64, left at the end of the exit onto Route 145 North. Continue on Route 145N. At stop sign, right onto Route 80 East. Continue through one traffic light until you come to a four-way stop. Continue straight through the four-way stop approximately 1/4 mile. Left onto Kelsey Hill Road, VRHS entrance will be on the left.

From Route 9 heading south:
Exit 5. right at the end of the exit. Continue until you come to a four-way stop. Left onto Warsaw Street, continue approximately 1/4 mile. Left onto Kelsey Hill Road, VRHS entrance will be on the left..

From Route 9 heading north:
Exit 5, left at the end of the exit. Continue until you come to a four-way stop. Left onto Warsaw Street, continue approximately 1/4 mile. Left onto Kelsey Hill Road, VRHS entrance will be on the left.
