Janet Robinson

Janet Robinson was introduced to Art at a young age. Her family was in the art business and owned The Gull Gallery in Provincetown and The Golden Cod Gallery in Wellfleet on Cape Cod. She started framing and collecting art in her teens. She was influenced by the varied techniques of the P-Town resident artists and the importance of color. Her work evolved from designing Valentines to larger individual pieces. Currently she is doing commissions. Her portraits reflect the background, talents and interests of the individual. Color, balance and the use of period objects and jewels are the hallmark of her work.

Janet Robinson was a graduate from S.C.S.U and is a realtor. She resides in the Westville area of New Haven. In addition to her art work, she collects Historic glass and textiles.
